Teachers' Day Celebration and End of Term 3

Hi everyone,

Welcome back to Term 4! I hope everyone had a good term break. Let me start by just thanking all you lovely children, mummies and daddies for the gifts and hearts messages that pleasantly greeted me when I stepped into school on the last day of Term 3. It was indeed a splendid surprise and I am touched by the all the heartfelt messages and thoughtful gifts.

Check out the beautiful heart messages that decorated our school notice boards...

Spider Siddiq, our friendly neighbourhood hero, came to pay us a surprise visit during our  Teachers' Day Celebration :)

Thanks a million Anya and family for the lovely basket of homemade cookies for all the teachers!

I was truly heartened by our principal's Teachers' Day message and video. You may view the message and video on the principal's blog here. Thank you Felicia for being an awesome principal and a dedicated teacher to inspire us all.

She made the teachers perform some silly dares in front of the children before awarding us with a token and a medal.

Happy Teachers' Day again to all the wonderful teachers!
Not forgetting, I would like to wish a Happy Teachers' Day to all you mummies and daddies too! Parents are children's first teachers and you all are amazing teachers.

After wrapping up the Teachers' Day celebration, the K2s went for a short visit to the post office to post their Letters to Lions. We hope our letters arrive safely at National Geographic Kids office and they will help us pass our letters to the African leaders soon!

And that concludes our Term 3 project work on 'Big Wild Cats'.

Till the next post!
