Lunar New Year Celebration

Hello everyone,

Welcome to our first class blog. We would like to wish everyone a Happy Lunar New Year. As this year, promises to be a fantastic and fun filled one.

We would also like to thank you for your enthusiasm, time, generosity and support to help make our Chinese New Year celebrations such a resounding success. The classrooms were decorated in red and the children looked absolutely gorgeous in their costumes. Although, this has been a short week due to the Chinese New Year holidays, our class has been a hub of activities.

It was great to see children volunteering to  perform during our Lunar New Year celebration.

Our first activity for the day was to make delicious fruit dumplings.

Serenity was very proud of her dumpling.

Children enjoyed creating beautiful greetings cards for their family and friends.

  

Time for Yusheng - Prosperity Toss

The children had a brilliant time tossing the salad in the air.

While tossing, children were told to say the following.... 

“Gong Xi Fa Cai”

"Da Ji Da Li"

“Nian Nian You Yu"

“Jin Sha Man Tang”

“zhao cai jin bao”

“Fu Yun Nian Nian” 

Man Di Huang Jin”
