Compound words

Hi parents,

This week, the children learned about compound words. Compound words are two words combined to make one word. The children watched a video to gain a better understanding of the concept learned.


The children then brainstormed their own compound words and worked together to sing their own compound boogies.



Next, the children made compound birds collage by writing their chosen compound words on the birds' wings and tails, cutting them out and pasting them together. 

You may reinforce your children's learning by thinking of other compound words that you can make with your children at home. Have fun!
